Full product description Specification, layout & fitting information

K9 1B-V Single Dog Box for Vans

The K9 1B-V Single Dog Box is a high-quality, bespoke single-compartment dog box designed to fit against the bulkhead of a van.

Every K9 1B-V is made to order to suit the individual customer’s vehicle and requirements. We do not manufacture standard stock boxes. Each dog box is built specifically for the van it will be fitted to, helping you make the best possible use of the available load space.

Designed for dog owners who need a secure, practical and durable transport solution, the K9 1B-V provides one spacious dog compartment with a single lockable door, while allowing the remaining van load area to stay available for storage, equipment or other working requirements.

Bespoke Fit for Vans

The K9 1B-V is designed to sit against the bulkhead of the van, providing a compact and practical single-dog transport solution.

The standard box can be manufactured up to approximately 660mm wide, 1100mm deep and 765mm high, depending on the available space within the vehicle.

The dimensions can be adjusted where required to suit the individual van, helping maximise the available internal space while maintaining a neat fit within the load area.

Because van interiors, bulkheads and door openings can differ between makes and models, we will work from the dimensions of your vehicle to manufacture a dog box suited to the available space.

Where required, the shape of the box can also be adapted to suit the internal profile of the van.

Safe and Secure Single-Compartment Design

The K9 1B-V incorporates one generously sized dog compartment with a single aluminium access door.

The door is manufactured with a stainless-steel mesh insert and fitted with our double-point locking system. When the handle is turned, two locking pins engage at the top and bottom of the door for increased strength and security.

A key-locking handle provides additional security.

An escape hatch can also be fitted to the rear of the box as an optional extra, providing an additional access point where required.

Each door is also fitted with a full-length stainless-steel hinge and our integrated stainless-steel mesh construction, creating a strong and durable door designed for regular working and everyday use.

Integrated Stainless-Steel Door Mesh

A major strength of the K9 1B-V dog box is the way the stainless-steel door mesh is built into the door frame during manufacture.

Rather than simply being tack welded onto the outside of the finished door, the stainless-steel mesh is inserted into the aluminium door section during the welding stage, so the surrounding door construction locks the mesh securely into position.

This creates an extremely strong door assembly and prevents dogs inside the box from getting behind an exposed mesh edge and attempting to pull or peel the mesh away from the frame.

The result is a much more secure and durable construction than a surface-mounted mesh panel, making it particularly suitable for strong, active working dogs and regular professional use.

This integrated mesh construction is a key feature of our dog box doors and is used to provide additional strength, security and long-term durability.

Stainless-steel mesh integrated into the dog box door section during manufacture, locking the mesh securely into the frame rather than simply attaching it to the outer face.

Ventilation and Comfort

Ventilation is incorporated into the dog box using stainless-steel mesh ventilation apertures, helping provide good airflow throughout the compartment.

The position and arrangement of the ventilation can be manufactured to suit the individual vehicle and installation.

A 3mm internal rubber mat is also supplied as standard to provide a practical, comfortable and easy-to-clean floor surface.

For customers requiring additional ventilation, an internal fan system or two-way electric roof fan can be added as an optional extra.

Durable 6mm Polypropylene Construction

The K9 1B-V is manufactured from 6mm polypropylene with a leather-grain-effect finish.

This material provides a strong, practical and low-maintenance construction suitable for regular use in vans and working vehicles.

The lower section of the box is designed to be watertight up to the top of the door sill, helping contain water during cleaning. A drainage plug is fitted to make washing out and maintaining the box easier.

Securing points are fitted to the dog box, allowing the unit to be restrained using suitable vehicle fixing points.

K9 2-V Double Dog Box for Vans

The K9 2-V Double Dog Box is a high-quality double-compartment dog box designed to fit between the wheel arches of a van, helping make efficient use of the available load space while providing a secure, practical and durable transport solution for two dogs.

The standard K9 2-V is designed for smaller vans such as the Volkswagen Caddy, with an alternative configuration available for larger vans such as the Ford Transit Custom.

With two separate dog compartments, individual lockable doors and a removable centre divider, the K9 2-V provides a flexible solution suitable for working dogs, professional users and everyday dog transport.

Designed to Fit Between the Wheel Arches

The K9 2-V is designed to sit neatly between the wheel arches of the van, allowing the available load space to be used as efficiently as possible.

The standard box has a depth of 1120mm and an overall height of 816mm.

Our standard configuration is suitable for smaller vans such as the Volkswagen Caddy, while an alternative version can be manufactured for larger vans such as the Ford Transit Custom.

As van dimensions and installations can vary, we recommend confirming your vehicle details with us before ordering to ensure the correct configuration is supplied.

Safe, Secure Double-Compartment Design

The K9 2-V incorporates two individual dog compartments, allowing two dogs to travel separately and securely.

A removable centre divider is fitted as standard, giving you the flexibility to use the box as two individual compartments or as one larger compartment when required.

Each compartment has its own locking front door with our double-point locking system. When the handle is operated, two locking pins engage at the top and bottom of the door, providing a strong and secure closure.

Rear escape hatches are fitted as standard, providing an additional access point to each compartment from the rear of the dog box.

For customers who do not require rear access, the K9 2-V can also be manufactured without escape hatches.

Each door is also fitted with a full-length stainless-steel hinge and our integrated stainless-steel mesh construction, creating a strong and durable door designed for regular working and everyday use.

Ventilation and Comfort

Ventilation is incorporated into the sides and rear of the K9 2-V to help maintain airflow through both dog compartments while travelling.

Standard ventilation apertures are approximately 150mm high.

A 3mm internal rubber mat is also supplied as standard, providing a practical, comfortable and easy-to-clean floor surface for the dogs.

Durable 6mm Polypropylene Construction

The K9 2-V is manufactured from 6mm polypropylene with a leather-grain-effect finish.

This material provides a strong, lightweight and low-maintenance construction suitable for regular use in working and everyday vehicles.

A reinforced centre pillar and roof trunk add additional structural strength and rigidity to the box.

The lower section is designed to be watertight up to the top of the door sill, helping contain water while the interior is being washed out. A front drainage plug is fitted to make cleaning and maintenance easier.

Integrated slot handles are incorporated into the sides of the box to assist with handling when fitting or removing the unit.

Securing shackles are also fitted to the sides, allowing the dog box to be restrained using suitable fixing points within the vehicle.

Van Size Options

The standard K9 2-V is designed for smaller vans such as the Volkswagen Caddy.

Double Dog Box and Double Drawer Unit for Vans | Bespoke Made to Order

The K9 22-V is a bespoke double-compartment dog box fitted on a double drawer unit, designed specifically for all makes of van. Every box is individually manufactured to suit your vehicle, dogs and requirements.

Full product description Specification, layout & fitting information

K9 22-V Double Dog Box & Double Drawer System for Vans

The K9 22-V Double Dog Box & Double Drawer System is a complete dog transport and storage solution designed to fit between the wheel arches of a van, helping make maximum use of the available load space while providing secure dog accommodation and practical equipment storage.

The system combines our double drawer unit with a twin-compartment dog box mounted above, creating a strong, practical and easy-to-clean installation suitable for working dogs, professional handlers and everyday dog transport.

The standard K9 22-V is designed for smaller vans such as the Volkswagen Caddy, with a width of up to 1200mm. An alternative wider version is available for larger vans such as the Ford Transit Custom, with widths up to 1350mm.

The standard dog box section is 1120mm deep and 816mm high, while the drawer unit is available in a range of height options. Where required, the overall combined height can also be manufactured to suit the available rear door opening height of the vehicle.

All advertised prices include VAT and fitting.

Designed to Fit Between the Wheel Arches

The K9 22-V is designed to sit neatly between the wheel arches of the van, allowing the available rear load space to be used efficiently without wasting valuable width.

The standard dog box section has a depth of 1120mm and a height of 816mm.

Our standard configuration is manufactured up to 1200mm wide, making it suitable for smaller vans such as the Volkswagen Caddy.

For larger vans such as the Ford Transit Custom, the system can be manufactured up to 1350mm wide.

The drawer system beneath the dog box is available in different height options depending on your storage requirements. Where required, the combined drawer and dog box system can also be manufactured to suit the maximum usable height available beneath the vehicle’s rear door opening.

As van dimensions and installations can vary, we recommend confirming your vehicle details and available load-space dimensions with us before ordering.

Double Drawer Storage System

The lower section of the K9 22-V incorporates our double drawer storage system, providing two full-length storage drawers running beneath the dog box.

The drawers extend between the wheel arches to maximise the available storage space and are ideal for carrying dog training equipment, leads, clothing, tools, recovery equipment and other working accessories.

Each drawer is fitted with our Air Glide system, providing smooth operation without conventional greased metal drawer runners.

The Air Glide system helps reduce the problems associated with traditional runners, which can attract dirt, grit, dog hair and mud during regular use.

Each drawer is fitted with a lockable stainless-steel catch and includes a removable 3mm mat within the drawer liner.

Twist-Release Removable Drawer Liners

Each drawer liner incorporates our twist-release stop system, allowing the drawer liner to remain securely retained during normal use while still being easy to remove when cleaning or maintenance is required.

During everyday operation, the stop prevents the drawer liner from being accidentally removed, even when the drawer is fully extended.

When the liner needs to be removed, simply rotate the stop through 90 degrees to release it from the main drawer unit.

The liner can then be removed completely for easier cleaning.

Once the liner has been refitted, the stop is rotated back into position to secure the drawer again.

This provides a simple, secure and completely tool-free method of removing the drawer liners.

Safe, Secure Double-Compartment Dog Box

Mounted above the drawer system, the K9 22-V incorporates two individual dog compartments, allowing two dogs to travel separately and securely.

A removable centre divider is fitted as standard, giving you the flexibility to use the box as two individual compartments or as one larger compartment when required.

Each compartment has its own locking front door with our double-point locking system.

When the handle is operated, two locking pins engage at the top and bottom of the door, providing a strong and secure closure in two separate positions.

Rear escape hatches are fitted as standard, providing an additional access point to each compartment from the rear of the dog box.

For customers who do not require rear access, the K9 22-V can also be manufactured without escape hatches.

Each door is also fitted with a full-length stainless-steel hinge and our integrated stainless-steel mesh construction, creating a strong and durable door designed for regular working and everyday use.

Picture 1 showing top pin in door opening position, Picture 2 showing top pin in door closed position, Picture 3 showing bottom pin.

Integrated Stainless-Steel Door Mesh

A major strength of the K9 22-V dog box is the way the stainless-steel door mesh is built into the door frame during manufacture.

Ventilation is incorporated into the sides and rear of the K9 22-V dog box to help maintain airflow through both dog compartments while travelling.

Standard ventilation apertures are approximately 150mm high.

A 3mm internal rubber mat is supplied within the dog box, providing a practical, comfortable and easy-to-clean floor surface for the dogs.

The dog box also incorporates a front drainage plug, making it easier to wash out and clean the interior.

Durable 6mm Polypropylene Construction

The K9 22-V dog box and drawer system are manufactured from 6mm polypropylene with a leather-grain-effect finish.

This provides a strong, lightweight and low-maintenance construction suitable for regular working and everyday vehicle use.

The polypropylene construction is particularly suited to dog transport because it is easy to wipe down, resistant to moisture and practical to maintain.

The dog box section incorporates a reinforced centre structure to provide additional strength and rigidity.

The lower section of the dog compartment is designed to be watertight up to the top of the door sill, helping contain water while the interior is being washed out.

A front drainage plug allows water to be released easily after cleaning.

Van Size Options

The standard K9 22-V is designed for smaller vans such as the Volkswagen Caddy and is manufactured up to 1200mm wide.

For customers with larger vehicles, we can also manufacture a wider version suitable for vehicles such as the Ford Transit Custom, with widths up to 1350mm.

The standard depth remains 1120mm.

The drawer height can be selected to suit your storage requirements, and where necessary the overall combined height of the system can be adjusted to make use of the available space beneath the vehicle’s rear door opening.

Because wheel-arch positions, internal widths, rear door heights and vehicle layouts can vary between models, please provide your vehicle make, model and year when ordering so that we can confirm the appropriate configuration.

Drawer Height Options

Unlike the dog box section, which has a standard height of 816mm, the drawer section is available in a range of different heights.

This allows the storage capacity beneath the dog box to be adapted depending on the equipment you need to carry and the amount of vertical space available within the van.

Where a standard drawer height is not suitable, we can manufacture the drawer system to a different height.

The overall combined height of the dog box and drawer unit can be manufactured up to the available rear door opening height, subject to the dimensions and layout of the vehicle.

Please contact us with your vehicle dimensions if you require a particular overall height.

Optional Escape Hatch Delete

Rear escape hatches are supplied as standard on the K9 22-V, giving access to both dog compartments from the rear of the box.

If rear access is not required, the system can alternatively be manufactured without the rear escape hatches.

Please specify this when ordering.

Bespoke Options

As our dog boxes and drawer systems are manufactured in-house, we can also accommodate a range of individual requirements where possible.

Bespoke options can include:

  • Alternative overall heights
  • Alternative drawer heights
  • Different widths for the individual dog compartments
  • Changes to the internal compartment layout
  • Alternative drawer configurations
  • Storage layouts designed around specific equipment
  • Configurations to work around vehicle fittings or accessories
  • Other custom modifications to suit your vehicle and working setup

If you require a non-standard configuration, please contact us before ordering so that we can discuss your requirements and provide a quotation.

Made for Your Van

The K9 22-V has been designed to provide a strong, secure and space-efficient combination of dog transport and equipment storage within the rear of a van.

By combining two secure dog compartments with two full-length storage drawers, the system makes practical use of the space between the vehicle’s wheel arches while keeping dogs and equipment organised within one installation.

Whether fitted to a smaller van such as a Volkswagen Caddy or manufactured in the wider configuration for a vehicle such as the Ford Transit Custom, the K9 22-V combines durable polypropylene construction, secure individual dog compartments, effective ventilation, practical drawer storage and easy-to-clean components.

If you are unsure which configuration is suitable for your van, please contact us with your vehicle make, model, year, available width and rear door opening height and we will be happy to advise.

For additional assistance, an optional built-in pull-out jump board can also be incorporated into the system.

The K9 32-V has been designed specifically for larger vans where the available width between the wheel arches is approximately 1350mm, making it particularly suitable for vehicles such as the Ford Transit Custom.

The standard system has a depth of 1120mm.

The lower drawer unit is manufactured to approximately the height of the vehicle wheel arches. This allows the three dog compartments above to extend across the full usable internal width of the van rather than being restricted to the narrower space between the wheel arches.

This arrangement makes efficient use of both the lower storage area and the wider space available above the wheel arches.

Where required, the combined drawer and dog box system can also be manufactured to make use of the maximum available height beneath the vehicle’s rear door opening.

As van dimensions and layouts can vary, we recommend confirming your vehicle details and available load-space dimensions with us before ordering.

Double Drawer Storage System

The lower section of the K9 32-V incorporates our double drawer storage system, providing two full-length storage drawers beneath the dog boxes.

The drawer unit is designed to fit between the wheel arches and is normally manufactured to approximately the same height as the wheel arches themselves.

This allows the dog boxes above to utilise the wider section of the van while still providing a large amount of enclosed storage underneath.

The drawers are ideal for carrying dog training equipment, leads, clothing, tools, recovery equipment and other working accessories.

Triple-Compartment Dog Box

Mounted above the drawer system, the K9 32-V incorporates three individual dog compartments, allowing three dogs to travel separately and securely.

Unlike a single-piece triple dog box, the K9 32-V dog box section is manufactured as three individual boxes.

This modular design makes installation into the van considerably easier.

The two outer dog boxes are loaded into the vehicle first. Once they are positioned correctly, the centre dog box is installed between them.

The centre box effectively locks the three sections into position, after which all three boxes are secured together to form one complete unit.

This construction allows a large triple dog box system to be installed in vehicles where fitting a single full-width assembled box would otherwise be difficult.

Each dog compartment has its own individual locking front door, allowing each dog to be loaded and transported separately.

Rear escape hatches are fitted as standard, providing an additional access point to each dog compartment from the rear of the dog box.

For customers who do not require rear access, the K9 32-V can also be manufactured without escape hatches.

A major strength of the K9 32-V dog box is the way the stainless-steel door mesh is built into the door frame during manufacture.

Set-Back Dog Box Step

The dog box section of the K9 32-V can be positioned set back from the front edge of the drawer unit.

This leaves a section of the drawer unit exposed in front of the dog box, creating a convenient built-in step.

The step can make it easier for dogs to enter and exit the compartments, particularly where the drawer unit raises the dog boxes above the floor level of the van.

The amount of set-back can be discussed when ordering depending on your vehicle layout, dog size and preferred installation.

Where the dog boxes are not set back, they can instead be positioned closer to the front edge of the drawer unit to maximise the available space behind or around the installation.

Optional Pull-Out Jump Board

For customers who require additional assistance for dogs entering and exiting the dog boxes, the K9 32-V can also be supplied with an optional built-in pull-out jump board.

The jump board is incorporated into the system and can be pulled out when required to provide an additional platform for the dogs.

When it is no longer required, the board can be pushed back into the unit, keeping it conveniently stored without requiring a separate loose ramp or step to be carried in the vehicle.

This option is particularly useful for larger dogs, older dogs or vehicles where the finished dog box floor height is higher.

Please select the pull-out jump board option when ordering if required.

Ventilation and Comfort

Ventilation is incorporated into the K9 32-V dog boxes to help maintain airflow through all three dog compartments while travelling.

The compartments are designed to provide a practical, secure and easy-to-maintain environment for transporting working dogs and pets.

A 3mm internal rubber mat is supplied within the dog boxes, providing a practical, comfortable and easy-to-clean floor surface.

The dog boxes also incorporate drainage to assist with washing and cleaning the interior.

Durable 6mm Polypropylene Construction

The K9 32-V dog boxes and drawer system are manufactured from 6mm polypropylene with a leather-grain-effect finish.

This provides a strong, lightweight and low-maintenance construction suitable for regular working and everyday vehicle use.

The polypropylene construction is particularly suited to dog transport because it is easy to wipe down, resistant to moisture and practical to maintain.

The modular three-box construction provides a strong finished installation while also making it possible to install a full-width triple dog box system into the vehicle in manageable individual sections.

Once installed, the three dog boxes are securely fixed together to create one complete unit.

Van Size and Height

The K9 32-V is designed primarily for larger vans such as the Ford Transit Custom, where there is approximately 1350mm of usable width between the wheel arches.

The standard system depth is 1120mm.

The drawer unit is normally manufactured to approximately the same height as the vehicle wheel arches.

By bringing the drawer unit up to wheel-arch height, the dog boxes above are able to extend across the wider section of the van and utilise the full available internal width.

The height of the dog boxes can then be manufactured to suit the remaining available space.

Where required, the overall combined height of the drawer unit and dog boxes can be manufactured up to the maximum usable height beneath the vehicle’s rear door opening.

Because wheel-arch heights, internal widths, rear door heights and vehicle layouts can vary between models, please provide your vehicle make, model and year when ordering so that we can confirm the appropriate configuration.

Optional Escape Hatch Delete

Rear escape hatches are supplied as standard on the K9 32-V, giving additional access to the dog compartments from the rear of the boxes.

If rear access is not required, the system can alternatively be manufactured without the rear escape hatches.

Please select the escape hatch delete option or specify this when ordering.

Optional Pull-Out Jump Board

A built-in pull-out jump board is available as an optional extra.

The board is incorporated into the main unit and provides an additional platform to help dogs enter and exit the dog compartments.

When not in use, it stores neatly back within the system.

This can be used as an alternative to, or in combination with, setting the dog boxes back from the front edge of the drawer unit.

Please select this option when ordering if required.

Bespoke Options

As our dog boxes and drawer systems are manufactured in-house, we can also accommodate a range of individual requirements where possible.

Bespoke options can include:

  • Alternative overall heights
  • Changes to the height of the dog compartments
  • Different widths for the individual dog boxes
  • Dog boxes positioned further forward or set back on the drawer unit
  • Built-in pull-out jump board

If you require a non-standard configuration, please contact us before ordering so that we can discuss your requirements and provide a quotation.

Made for Your Van

The K9 32-V has been designed to provide a strong, secure and space-efficient combination of three-dog transport and equipment storage within larger vans.

By manufacturing the drawer unit to approximately the same height as the wheel arches, the triple dog box above can take advantage of the full usable internal width of the vehicle, while the two full-length drawers provide valuable enclosed storage underneath.

The three-piece modular dog box design also makes installation considerably more practical. The two outer boxes are installed first, followed by the centre box, before all three sections are securely fixed together as one complete unit.

The option to set the dog boxes back to create a step, or incorporate a built-in pull-out jump board, also helps make access easier for the dogs.

Whether used for working dogs, professional handlers or everyday dog transport, the K9 32-V combines durable polypropylene construction, three secure individual dog compartments, practical drawer storage and an installation designed to make maximum use of the available space within larger vans.

If you are unsure whether the K9 32-V is suitable for your van, please contact us with your vehicle make, model, year, available width between the wheel arches, wheel-arch height and rear door opening height and we will be happy to advise.

All advertised prices include VAT and fitting.

2 Plus 2 System (4 Dog Compartments) for the Larger Vans | Bespoke Made to Order

The K9 4-V is a bespoke 2 Plus 2 System (4 Dog Compartments) designed specifically for the larger van. Every box is individually manufactured to suit your vehicle, dogs and requirements.

Full product description Specification, layout & fitting information

K9 4-V Four Dog Box for Vans

The K9 4-V Four Dog Box is a high-quality four-compartment dog box designed for larger vans, providing a secure, practical and space-efficient solution for transporting up to four dogs.

The K9 4-V uses a 2+2 configuration, with two dog compartments positioned above two lower compartments. This stacked arrangement makes efficient use of the height available within larger vans while keeping the overall footprint compact.

Designed for vehicles such as the Ford Transit Custom, the K9 4-V is suitable for vans with approximately 1350mm of width between the wheel arches and has a standard depth of 1120mm.

The system is manufactured from two double dog boxes, each fitted with a removable centre divider. This gives you the flexibility to use the K9 4-V as four individual dog compartments or two larger compartments when required.

Designed for Larger Vans

The K9 4-V has been developed specifically for larger vans such as the Ford Transit Custom, where the additional internal width and height can be used to create a practical four-dog transport system.

The unit is designed around a width of approximately 1350mm between the wheel arches, with a standard overall depth of 1120mm.

The combined height of the upper and lower boxes can be manufactured to make effective use of the available space, with the overall height extending up to the height of the vehicle’s rear door opening where suitable.

As van dimensions, rear door openings and internal layouts can vary, we recommend providing your vehicle make, model and year when ordering so that we can confirm the most suitable configuration.

Practical 2+2 Stacked Design

The K9 4-V consists of two double dog boxes arranged one above the other, creating two upper compartments and two lower compartments.

This 2+2 layout provides secure individual spaces for up to four dogs without requiring the full length of the van to be occupied by dog boxes.

Each double box incorporates a removable centre divider, allowing the K9 4-V to be configured as:

  • Four individual dog compartments
  • Two larger double-width compartments

This flexibility makes the K9 4-V suitable for users transporting dogs of different sizes or for situations where a larger compartment may occasionally be required.

Set-Back Upper Dog Boxes

For easier access to the upper compartments, the top dog boxes can be set back from the front of the lower boxes.

This creates a useful step area on top of the lower section, helping dogs climb into the upper compartments more easily and reducing the height they need to negotiate in a single movement.

The amount of set-back can be determined as part of the configuration of the dog box, taking into account the available space within the vehicle.

Optional Built-In Pull-Out Jump Board

For additional assistance when loading dogs into the upper compartments, the K9 4-V can also be supplied with an optional built-in pull-out jump board.

The jump board is incorporated into the dog box installation and can be pulled out when required to provide an additional platform for dogs entering or leaving the upper boxes.

When not required, it can be stored neatly within the unit, helping maintain a practical and uncluttered load area.

The pull-out jump board is available as an optional extra.

Safe, Secure Four-Compartment Design

The K9 4-V provides four separate dog compartments when both removable centre dividers are fitted, allowing dogs to travel individually and securely.

Each compartment has its own locking front door with our double-point locking system. When the handle is operated, two locking pins engage at the top and bottom of the door, providing a strong and secure closure.

Rear escape hatches are fitted as standard, providing an additional access point to the dog compartments from the rear of the boxes.

For customers who do not require rear access, the K9 4-V can also be manufactured without escape hatches.

Each door is also fitted with a full-length stainless-steel hinge and our integrated stainless-steel mesh construction, creating a strong and durable door designed for regular working and everyday use.

Integrated Stainless-Steel Door Mesh

A major strength of the K9 4-V dog box is the way the stainless-steel door mesh is built into the door frame during manufacture.

Ventilation is incorporated into the dog boxes to help maintain airflow through each compartment while travelling.

Standard ventilation apertures are approximately 150mm high.

A 3mm internal rubber mat is also supplied as standard, providing a practical, comfortable and easy-to-clean floor surface for the dogs.

Durable 6mm Polypropylene Construction

The K9 4-V is manufactured from 6mm polypropylene with a leather-grain-effect finish.

This provides a strong, lightweight and low-maintenance construction suitable for regular use in working and everyday vehicles.

The boxes incorporate reinforced structural sections to provide additional strength and rigidity.

The lower sections are designed to be watertight up to the top of the door sill, helping contain water while the interior is being washed out. Drainage plugs are fitted to assist with cleaning and maintenance.

Integrated slot handles assist with handling individual box sections during installation or removal where required.

Securing shackles are also incorporated to allow the dog box system to be restrained using suitable fixing points within the vehicle.

This is particularly useful for larger or heavier dogs, or for owners who want to minimise the height their dogs need to jump.

Please select the pull-out jump board option when ordering if required.

3 Plus 2 System (5 Dog Compartments) for the Larger Vans | Bespoke Made to Order

The K9 5-V is a bespoke 3 Plus 2 System (5 Dog Compartments) designed specifically for the larger van. Every box is individually manufactured to suit your vehicle, dogs and requirements.

Full product description Specification, layout & fitting information

K9 5-V Five Dog Box for Vans

The K9 5-V Five Dog Box is a high-quality five-compartment dog box designed for larger vans, providing a secure, practical and space-efficient solution for transporting up to five dogs.

The K9 5-V uses a 3+2 configuration, with three dog compartments positioned above two lower compartments. This stacked arrangement makes excellent use of the additional width and height available within larger vans while keeping the overall footprint compact.

Designed for vehicles such as the Ford Transit Custom, the K9 5-V is suitable for vans with approximately 1350mm of width between the wheel arches and has a standard depth of 1120mm.

The system is manufactured from one double dog box on the bottom and three individual single dog boxes on the top. The lower double box is fitted with a removable centre divider, giving you the flexibility to use the lower section as two individual dog compartments or one larger double-width compartment.

The three upper boxes are individually manufactured, allowing them to utilise the full internal width of the van above wheel-arch level where the vehicle dimensions allow.

Designed for Larger Vans

The K9 5-V has been developed specifically for larger vans such as the Ford Transit Custom, where the additional internal width and height can be used to create a practical five-dog transport system.

The lower section is designed around a width of approximately 1350mm between the wheel arches, with a standard overall depth of 1120mm.

Above wheel-arch level, the three individual upper dog boxes can make use of the additional internal width of the van, helping maximise the available space and provide practical compartment sizes.

Practical 3+2 Stacked Design

The K9 5-V consists of one double dog box on the bottom with three individual single dog boxes positioned above, creating three upper compartments and two lower compartments.

This 3+2 layout provides secure individual spaces for up to five dogs without requiring the full length of the van to be occupied by dog boxes.

The lower double dog box incorporates a removable centre divider, allowing the lower section to be configured as either:

  • Two individual dog compartments
  • One larger double-width compartment

With the divider fitted and the three upper boxes in place, the K9 5-V provides five individual dog compartments.

This flexibility makes the K9 5-V suitable for users transporting dogs of different sizes or for situations where a larger lower compartment may occasionally be required.

Three-Piece Upper Dog Box System

One of the key features of the K9 5-V is its three-piece upper dog box arrangement.

The upper section is manufactured as three individual single dog boxes, allowing the available width above the van’s wheel arches to be utilised effectively.

During installation, the two outer upper boxes are fitted first against the sides of the van. The centre upper box is then positioned between them, helping lock the three sections securely together.

Once correctly positioned, the individual sections are fixed together to form one complete unit, creating a strong and secure five-dog box installation.

This method of construction allows the upper section to make maximum practical use of the wider internal area of vans such as the Ford Transit Custom while still allowing the individual sections to be handled during installation.

Set-Back Upper Dog Boxes

For easier access to the upper compartments, the three top dog boxes can be set back from the front of the lower box.

This creates a useful step area on top of the lower section, helping dogs climb into the upper compartments more easily and reducing the height they need to negotiate in a single movement.

The amount of set-back can be determined as part of the configuration of the dog box, taking into account the available space within the vehicle and the size of the dogs being transported.

Optional Built-In Pull-Out Jump Board

For additional assistance when loading dogs into the upper compartments, the K9 5-V can also be supplied with an optional built-in pull-out jump board.

Safe, Secure Five-Compartment Design

The K9 5-V provides five separate dog compartments when the removable lower centre divider is fitted, allowing dogs to travel individually and securely.

Each compartment has its own locking front door with our double-point locking system. When the handle is operated, two locking pins engage at the top and bottom of the door, providing a strong and secure closure.

Rear escape hatches are fitted as standard, providing an additional access point to the dog compartments from the rear of the boxes.

For customers who do not require rear access, the K9 5-V can also be manufactured without escape hatches.

Each door is also fitted with a full-length stainless-steel hinge and our integrated stainless-steel mesh construction, creating a strong and durable door designed for regular working and everyday use.

Integrated Stainless-Steel Door Mesh

The result is a much more secure and durable construction than a surface-mounted mesh panel, making it particularly suitable for strong, active working dogs and regular professional use.

This integrated mesh construction is a key feature of our dog box doors and is used to provide additional strength, security and long-term durability.

Ventilation and Comfort

Ventilation is incorporated into the dog boxes to help maintain airflow through each compartment while travelling.

Standard ventilation apertures are approximately 150mm high.

A 3mm internal rubber mat is also supplied as standard, providing a practical, comfortable and easy-to-clean floor surface for the dogs.

Securing shackles are also incorporated to allow the dog box system to be restrained using suitable fixing points within the vehicle.

Optional Pull-Out Jump Board

A built-in pull-out jump board can be incorporated into the K9 5-V to make access to the three upper dog compartments easier.

The board provides an intermediate platform for dogs when entering or leaving the upper boxes and can be stored neatly within the unit when not in use.

This is particularly useful for larger or heavier dogs, or for owners who want to minimise the height their dogs need to jump.

Please select the pull-out jump board option when ordering if required.

Optional Escape Hatch Delete

Rear escape hatches are supplied as standard on the K9 5-V, providing additional access to the dog compartments.

If rear access is not required, the dog boxes can alternatively be manufactured without the rear escape hatches.

Please specify this option when ordering.

Bespoke Options

As our dog boxes are manufactured in-house, we can accommodate a range of individual requirements where possible.

Bespoke options can include:

  • Alternative overall dimensions where required
  • Different compartment widths
  • Different amounts of set-back for the upper boxes
  • Configurations to work around specific vehicle equipment or storage requirements
  • Built-in pull-out jump board
  • Escape hatch delete
  • Other custom modifications to suit your vehicle and working setup

Please contact us before ordering if you require a non-standard configuration so that we can discuss your requirements and provide a quotation.

Made for Your Van

The K9 5-V has been designed to provide a strong, secure and space-efficient solution for transporting up to five dogs in a larger van.

Its 3+2 stacked configuration makes effective use of both the width and height available within vehicles such as the Ford Transit Custom. The lower double box fits within the area between the wheel arches, while the three individual upper boxes can utilise the additional internal width available higher up within the van.

The unique three-piece upper arrangement allows the two outer boxes to be positioned against the sides of the vehicle before the centre box is installed to lock the arrangement together. The complete system is then securely fixed to create one integrated dog box unit.

The removable divider in the lower box also provides additional flexibility, allowing the lower section to be changed from two individual compartments into one larger compartment when required.

The option to set the upper boxes back creates a practical step to assist dogs entering the higher compartments, while the optional built-in pull-out jump board can provide additional assistance where required.

With durable construction, secure individual compartments, effective ventilation, rear escape hatches and a range of bespoke options, the K9 5-V is designed for professional, working and everyday dog transport.

All advertised prices include VAT and fitting.

If you are unsure whether the K9 5-V is suitable for your vehicle, please contact us with your vehicle make, model and year and we will be happy to advise.
