K9 1F-C Single Full Width Dog Box, for Cars, Estates, SUVs and 4x4s

The K9 1F-C Single Dog Box is a high-quality, bespoke single-compartment dog box designed to fit within the entire boot area of normal road vehicles, including hatchbacks, estate cars, SUVs and 4x4s.

Every K9 1F-C is made to order to suit the individual customer’s vehicle and requirements. We do not manufacture standard stock boxes. Each dog box is built specifically for the make and model of vehicle it will be fitted to, helping make the best possible use of the available boot space.

Designed for dog owners who need to transport one or more dogs safely and securely within a single compartment, the K9 1F-C provides one large internal dog compartment with one lockable aluminium access door.

Unlike the K9 2-C, the K9 1F-C does not incorporate a central divider or separate compartments. The full internal area remains open, providing a spacious single compartment suitable for larger dogs or for customers who prefer to transport dogs together.

Like the K9 2-C, the K9 1F-C is shaped on both sides of the box to follow the contours of the vehicle, helping utilise as much of the available boot space as possible.

Bespoke Fit for Cars, Estates, SUVs and 4x4s

The K9 1F-C is designed specifically for use in the boot area of hatchbacks, estate cars, SUVs and 4×4 vehicles.

The K9 1F-C is available in two standard sizes:

• Small: up to 965mm wide x 910mm deep x 735mm high
• Large: up to 1020mm wide x 1020mm deep x 765mm high

The dimensions are adjusted where required to suit the individual vehicle, helping maximise the available internal space while maintaining a neat and practical fit within the boot.

Because the shape of boot areas varies considerably between different makes and models, every K9 1F-C is manufactured to suit the individual vehicle.

Both sides of the dog box are shaped to follow the contours of the vehicle’s boot space, allowing the box to make efficient use of the available width around wheel arches, side panels and other interior features.

The rear of the box can also be angled to suit the position and angle of the rear seats, while the front of the box is shaped to suit the angle and closing position of the boot door or tailgate.

This bespoke construction helps make efficient use of the available space and allows the dog box to fit neatly within the vehicle.

Single-Door, Single-Compartment Design

The K9 1F-C incorporates one large dog compartment with one aluminium access door.

With no central divider, the full internal width of the dog box remains available as one open compartment, providing a practical solution for transporting a larger dog or multiple dogs together where appropriate.

The single-compartment layout also provides additional flexibility for customers who do not require individual dog compartments and want to make maximum use of the available internal space.

The large access area makes loading and unloading straightforward while maintaining the same strong and practical construction used throughout our dog box range.

Safe and Secure Door Design

The aluminium access door is manufactured to the same high standard as the other doors used throughout our range, incorporating a stainless-steel mesh insert and our double-point locking system.

When the handle is turned, two locking pins engage at the top and bottom of the door, providing increased strength and security.

The door is fitted with a key-locking handle for additional security.

The single-door design provides straightforward access to the full internal compartment while maintaining a strong and secure construction suitable for everyday travel and working use.

Each door is also fitted with a full-length stainless-steel hinge and our integrated stainless-steel mesh construction, creating a strong and durable door designed for regular working and everyday use.

Integrated Stainless-Steel Door Mesh

A major strength of the K9 1F-C dog box is the way the stainless-steel door mesh is built into the door frame during manufacture.

Rather than simply being tack welded onto the outside of the finished door, the stainless-steel mesh is inserted into the aluminium door section during the welding stage, so the surrounding door construction locks the mesh securely into position.

This creates an extremely strong door assembly and prevents dogs inside the box from getting behind an exposed mesh edge and attempting to pull or peel the mesh away from the frame.

The result is a much more secure and durable construction than a surface-mounted mesh panel, making it particularly suitable for strong, active working dogs and regular professional use.

This integrated mesh construction is a key feature of our dog box doors and is used to provide additional strength, security and long-term durability.

Stainless-steel mesh integrated into the dog box door section during manufacture, locking the mesh securely into the frame rather than simply attaching it to the outer face.

Ventilation and Comfort

Ventilation is incorporated into the K9 1F-C through side and rear ventilation apertures, helping provide good airflow throughout the dog compartment.

The ventilation is positioned to suit the design of the box and the individual vehicle installation.

A 3mm internal rubber mat is supplied as standard, providing a practical, comfortable and easy-to-clean floor surface for the dogs.

For customers requiring additional ventilation, other ventilation options can also be discussed as part of the bespoke design.

Durable Polypropylene Construction

The K9 1F-C is manufactured using the same durable polypropylene construction used throughout our dog box range.

The material provides a strong, practical and low-maintenance solution suitable for regular use in family vehicles, working vehicles and 4x4s.

A drainage plug is fitted as standard to assist with cleaning and washing out the inside of the dog box.

The K9 1F-C also incorporates side slot handles, making the box easier to lift, load and unload from the vehicle when required.

The K9 1F-C is not an off-the-shelf dog box. Every box is manufactured to suit the individual customer’s vehicle, allowing us to take account of the boot dimensions, rear seat angle, wheel arches and side profiles, boot door or tailgate angle and the available loading space.

Both sides of the K9 1F-C are shaped to follow the contours of the boot, helping maximise the internal space available for the dogs while keeping the overall box neatly fitted within the vehicle.

The rear of the box can be angled to suit the rear seats, while the front can be shaped to provide suitable clearance for the boot door or tailgate.

The single-compartment design makes the full internal area available without a divider, providing maximum usable space for customers who do not require two separate dog compartments.

This bespoke approach allows us to make the best possible use of the available space while providing a secure, practical and professional dog transport solution.
