Field 11F-4×4 Single Dog Box & Full-Width Drawer System for 4×4 Vehicles

The Field 11F-4×4 Single Dog Box & Full-Width Drawer System is a complete dog transport and equipment storage solution designed for 4×4 road vehicles, helping make maximum use of the available rear load space while providing secure dog accommodation and practical enclosed storage.

The system combines our full-width single drawer storage unit with a single-compartment dog box mounted above. The remaining exposed area on top of the drawer unit is fitted with a 3mm rubber mat, creating a practical non-slip storage surface alongside the dog box for equipment that needs to remain easily accessible.

The Field 11F-4×4 can be configured with either a fixed or removable dog box, depending on how you use your vehicle.

Designed for working dogs, dog training, country sports, professional handlers and everyday dog transport, the Field 11F-4×4 provides a straightforward combination of secure dog accommodation, enclosed equipment storage and accessible load space within one installation.

Designed for 4×4 Road Vehicles

The Field 11F-4×4 is designed to make efficient use of the rear load area of suitable 4×4 vehicles.

The full-width drawer system provides a large enclosed storage area beneath the dog box and open storage surface, helping make use of load space that can otherwise be difficult to organise effectively.

Above the drawer system, the single dog box uses approximately half of the available width to provide one secure dog compartment. The remaining area beside the dog box provides an accessible storage surface for dog training equipment, clothing, leads, tools and other working accessories.

The exact dimensions and configuration of the system depend on the available load space, vehicle width, internal height and rear door or tailgate opening.

Full-Width Single Drawer Storage System

The lower section of the Field 11F-4×4 incorporates our full-width single drawer storage system, providing one large enclosed storage drawer beneath the dog box and storage area.

The drawer is designed to use as much of the available space as possible, helping maximise practical storage for dog training equipment, leads, clothing, tools, recovery equipment and other working accessories.

The drawer operates using our Air Glide system, providing smooth operation without conventional greased metal drawer runners.

The Air Glide system helps reduce the problems associated with traditional runners, which can attract dirt, grit, dog hair and mud during regular use.

The full-width drawer is secured using two lockable stainless-steel catches and includes a removable 3mm mat within the drawer liner.

Twist-Release Removable Drawer Liner

The drawer liner incorporates our twist-release stop system, allowing it to remain securely retained during normal use while still being easy to remove when cleaning or maintenance is required.

During everyday operation, the stop prevents the drawer liner from being accidentally removed, even when the drawer is fully extended.

When the liner needs to be removed, simply rotate the stop through 90 degrees to release it from the main drawer unit.

The liner can then be removed completely for easier cleaning or maintenance.

Once the liner has been refitted, the stop is rotated back into position to secure the drawer again.

This provides a simple, secure and completely tool-free method of removing the drawer liner.

Secure Single-Compartment Dog Box

Mounted above the drawer system, the Field 11F-4×4 single dog box uses approximately half of the available width to provide one secure dog compartment.

The dog box is fitted with our double-point door locking system.

When the door is locked, pins engage at both the top and bottom of the door, securing it firmly in two separate positions.

Each door is also fitted with a full-length stainless-steel hinge and our integrated stainless-steel mesh construction, creating a strong and durable door designed for regular working and everyday use.

Integrated Stainless-Steel Door Mesh

A major strength of the Field 11F-4×4 dog box is the way the stainless-steel door mesh is built into the door frame during manufacture.

Rather than simply being tack welded onto the outside of the finished door, the stainless-steel mesh is inserted into the aluminium door section during the welding stage, so the surrounding door construction locks the mesh securely into position.

This creates an extremely strong door assembly and prevents dogs inside the box from getting behind an exposed mesh edge and attempting to pull or peel the mesh away from the frame.

The result is a much more secure and durable construction than a surface-mounted mesh panel, making it particularly suitable for strong, active working dogs and regular professional use.

This integrated mesh construction is a key feature of our dog box doors and is used to provide additional strength, security and long-term durability.

Stainless-steel mesh integrated into the dog box door section during manufacture, locking the mesh securely into the frame rather than simply attaching it to the outer face.

Ventilation, Comfort and Cleaning

Ventilation mesh is incorporated into the sides and rear of the Field 11F-4×4 dog box, helping maintain airflow through the compartment while travelling.

A 3mm internal rubber mat is supplied within the dog compartment, providing a practical, non-slip and easy-to-clean floor surface for the dog.

The dog box also incorporates a front drainage plug, making it easier to wash out the compartment and release water after cleaning.

Together, these features are designed to make the dog compartment practical to maintain during regular working use.

Non-Slip Equipment Storage Area

Alongside the single dog box, the exposed top of the full-width drawer system is fitted with a 3mm rubber mat.

This creates a useful non-slip storage area for equipment that needs to remain readily accessible from the rear of the vehicle.

The area can be used for items such as dog training equipment, leads, clothing, bags, boots and other working accessories while helping prevent equipment from sliding directly on the surface of the drawer unit.

The combination of the single dog compartment, full-width drawer and open storage area allows the Field 11F-4×4 to divide the available rear load space between secure dog transport, enclosed drawer storage and accessible equipment storage within one installation.

Fixed or Removable Dog Box

The Field 11F-4×4 can be configured with either a fixed or removable dog box, depending on how you use your vehicle.

The fixed version can be securely attached to the drawer system to create a semi-permanent installation.

Alternatively, the dog box can be manufactured as a removable unit while leaving the drawer system securely fitted in the vehicle.

This option is particularly useful where the 4×4 also needs to be used for work, carrying larger equipment or other purposes when the dog box is not required.

The removable dog box is designed to be taken out and refitted without removing the drawer system, giving the vehicle greater flexibility while retaining the main storage installation.

The removable dog box option must be specified when ordering so that the system can be manufactured to suit the required configuration.
