Cargo 1-P Single Drawer Storage System for Pickup Trucks

The Cargo 1-P Single Drawer Storage System is a practical, secure and space-efficient storage solution designed for pickup trucks, combining one full-length enclosed drawer with an integrated side storage cabinet and a useful top storage tray.

Designed to occupy approximately half of the available width of the pickup load bed, the Cargo 1-P provides organised enclosed storage while leaving the remaining load-bed space available for other equipment, tools, dogs, machinery or general cargo.

The main drawer provides substantial storage for larger items, while the separate side cabinet creates a useful additional compartment for smaller equipment and accessories that you may prefer to keep separate and easy to access.

The complete system is manufactured as a standalone unit and securely installed into the pickup, while still allowing removal or transfer between suitable vehicles where dimensions permit.

Designed for Pickup Truck Load Areas

The Cargo 1-P is designed to make efficient use of the rear load area while retaining a significant amount of open pickup-bed space.

The system occupies approximately half of the available width of the pickup bed, making it particularly suitable for customers who need secure drawer storage but do not want to dedicate the full width of the load area to a storage system.

The main drawer runs through the available load length, while an integrated side storage cabinet makes use of the additional space alongside the drawer unit.

This arrangement provides two separate enclosed storage areas while leaving the remaining section of the pickup bed open and accessible.

Full-Length Single Drawer Storage

The Cargo 1-P incorporates one full-length storage drawer, providing substantial enclosed storage while using approximately half of the pickup load-bed width.

The drawer is ideal for carrying tools, work equipment, recovery equipment, country sports equipment, dog training accessories, clothing and other items that need to remain secure, organised and protected.

The drawer operates using our Air Glide system, providing smooth operation without conventional greased metal drawer runners.

This makes the system particularly suitable for working and outdoor vehicles, as there are no greased runners to attract dirt, grit, dog hair or mud during regular use.

The drawer liner is fitted with a lockable stainless-steel slam-to-close paddle latch and includes a removable 3mm rubber mat.

Twist-Release Removable Drawer Liner

The drawer liner incorporates our twist-release stop system, allowing the drawer to remain securely retained during normal use while still being easy to remove for cleaning or maintenance.

During normal operation, the stop prevents the drawer liner from being accidentally removed when fully extended.

When removal is required, the stop can simply be rotated through 90 degrees, allowing the complete drawer liner to be withdrawn from the main drawer unit.

Once the liner has been refitted, the stop is rotated back into position to secure the drawer again.

This provides a simple, completely tool-free method of removing the drawer liner.

Integrated Side Storage Cabinet

A key feature of the Cargo 1-P is its integrated side storage cabinet.

The side compartment provides useful additional enclosed storage alongside the main drawer and is particularly suitable for smaller items that you may want to keep separate from the contents of the drawer.

This can include smaller tools, straps, leads, accessories, recovery equipment and other frequently used items.

The side storage compartment is fitted with a locking stainless-steel catch, helping keep equipment secure and organised.

The Cargo 1-P is particularly suitable for customers who value having both a large main drawer and a separate smaller storage compartment, while still retaining approximately half of the pickup bed for other uses.

For customers who do not require the side storage cabinet, the Cargo 1N-P provides the same half-width concept without the separate side compartment and is £50 less at each standard drawer height.

Top Storage Tray

A top storage tray is fitted across the Cargo 1-P drawer system, creating a useful additional load platform above the drawer and side storage compartment.

The tray is supplied as standard with a 3mm rubber mat, helping prevent equipment from moving around during normal driving.

An alloy edging strip is fitted along the front edge of the tray, acting as a wear strip while also helping retain the rubber mat securely in position.

The tray provides a practical surface for carrying additional equipment while still allowing access to the open section of the pickup load bed alongside the system.

Removable and Transferable Installation

The Cargo 1-P is installed as one complete drawer, side storage and tray assembly.

The system is securely fixed to the floor of the pickup during installation.

Where vehicle dimensions permit, the complete system can also be removed and transferred between suitable vehicles.

This can be particularly useful for customers who change pickups but want to retain their existing drawer storage system.

Compatibility depends on the internal dimensions of the vehicles involved, so please contact us before transferring an existing system to another pickup.

Half-Width Storage Layout

The defining feature of the Cargo 1-P is its half-width storage layout.

Rather than occupying the full width of the pickup load bed, the system uses approximately half of the available width for secure enclosed storage.

This leaves the remaining area available for larger items, work equipment, dogs, toolboxes, machinery, containers or other loads that need to be carried directly in the pickup bed.

The combination of a full-length drawer and separate side cabinet provides different types of storage within a compact footprint.

Cargo 1-P or Cargo 1N-P?

Both systems use the same core half-width single drawer design, Air Glide operation, removable drawer liner and practical top tray.

The main difference is how the available storage space within the system is arranged.

The Cargo 1-P includes an integrated side storage cabinet alongside the main drawer, providing a separate enclosed compartment for smaller tools, accessories and equipment.

The Cargo 1N-P does not include the side cabinet and provides a simpler single-drawer layout.

Both systems are designed to occupy approximately half of the available pickup-bed width, leaving the remaining section of the load bed available for other uses.

The Cargo 1N-P is also £50 less than the equivalent Cargo 1-P at each standard drawer height.

The most suitable choice depends on whether you prefer the additional organisation of a separate side compartment or a simpler drawer-only arrangement at a lower cost.
