Field 21F-4×4 Double Dog Box & Full-Width Single Drawer System for 4×4 Vehicles

The Field 21F-4×4 Double Dog Box & Full-Width Drawer System is a complete dog transport and equipment storage solution designed for 4×4 road vehicles, helping make maximum use of the available rear load space while providing secure accommodation for two dogs and practical enclosed storage.

The system combines our single full-width drawer system with a twin-compartment dog box mounted above, creating a practical, secure and easy-to-clean installation for working dogs, dog training, country sports, professional handlers and everyday dog transport.

Designed for 4×4 Road Vehicles

The Field 21F-4×4 is designed to make efficient use of the rear load area of suitable 4×4 vehicles.

The lower section provides a large full-width storage drawer, helping make use of the space beneath the dog box for equipment that would otherwise take up valuable load space.

Mounted above the drawer system, the double dog box uses the available width to provide two secure dog compartments, with a removable centre divider allowing the internal layout to be adapted when required.

The exact dimensions and configuration of the system will depend on the available load space, vehicle width, internal height and rear door or tailgate opening.

Single Full-Width Drawer Storage System

The lower section of the Field 21F-4×4 incorporates our single full-width drawer storage system, providing a large enclosed storage area beneath the dog box.

The drawer is designed to use as much of the available space as possible, helping maximise practical storage for dog training equipment, leads, clothing, tools, recovery equipment and other working accessories.

The drawer operates using our Air Glide system, providing smooth operation without conventional greased metal drawer runners.

The Air Glide system helps reduce the problems associated with traditional runners, which can attract dirt, grit, dog hair and mud during regular use.

The full-width drawer is secured by two lockable stainless-steel catches and includes a removable 3mm mat within the drawer liner.

Twist-Release Removable Drawer Liner

The drawer liner incorporates our twist-release stop system, allowing it to remain securely retained during normal use while still being easy to remove when cleaning or maintenance is required.

During everyday operation, the stop prevents the drawer liner from being accidentally removed, even when the drawer is fully extended.

When the liner needs to be removed, simply rotate the stop through 90 degrees to release it from the main drawer unit.

The liner can then be removed completely for easier cleaning or maintenance.

Once the liner has been refitted, the stop is rotated back into position to secure the drawer again.

This provides a simple, secure and completely tool-free method of removing the drawer liner.

Secure Twin-Compartment Dog Box

Mounted above the drawer system, the Field 21F-4×4 double dog box provides two secure compartments for transporting dogs within the rear load area of the vehicle.

A removable centre divider separates the two compartments and can be removed when a larger shared internal space is required.

Each dog box door is fitted with our improved double-point door locking system.

When locked, pins engage at both the top and bottom of each door, securing the doors firmly in two separate positions.

Each door is also fitted with a full-length stainless-steel hinge and our integrated stainless-steel mesh construction, creating a strong and durable door designed for regular working and everyday use.

Integrated Stainless-Steel Door Mesh

A major strength of the Field 21F-4×4 dog box is the way the stainless-steel door mesh is built into the door frame during manufacture.

Rather than simply being tack welded onto the outside of the finished door, the stainless-steel mesh is inserted into the aluminium door section during the welding stage, so the surrounding door construction locks the mesh securely into position.

This creates an extremely strong door assembly and prevents dogs inside the box from getting behind an exposed mesh edge and attempting to pull or peel the mesh away from the frame.

The result is a much more secure and durable construction than a surface-mounted mesh panel, making it particularly suitable for strong, active working dogs and regular professional use.

This integrated mesh construction is a key feature of our dog box doors and is used to provide additional strength, security and long-term durability.

Stainless-steel mesh integrated into the dog box door section during manufacture, locking the mesh securely into the frame rather than simply attaching it to the outer face.

Ventilation, Comfort and Cleaning

Ventilation slots are incorporated into the sides and rear of the dog box to help maintain airflow through the compartments while travelling.

A 3mm internal rubber mat is supplied within the dog box, providing a practical and easy-to-clean floor surface for the dogs.

The dog box also incorporates a front drainage plug, making it easier to wash out the compartments and release water after cleaning.

The removable centre divider, rubber mat, ventilation and drainage system are designed to make the Field 21F-4×4 practical to clean and maintain during regular working use.
