Field 11-4×4 Single Dog Box & Single Drawer System for 4×4 Vehicles

The Field 11-4×4 Single Dog Box & Single Drawer System is a complete dog transport and equipment storage solution designed for 4×4 road vehicles, helping make maximum use of the available rear load space while providing secure dog accommodation and practical enclosed storage.

The system combines our single drawer storage unit with a single-compartment dog box, which can be positioned either beside the drawer system or mounted above it, depending on the vehicle and required configuration.

When the dog box is positioned beside the drawer unit, the exposed top of the drawer incorporates a retaining lip and removable 3mm rubber mat, creating a useful additional storage area for equipment.

Designed for 4×4 Road Vehicles

The Field 11-4×4 is designed to make efficient use of the rear load area of suitable 4×4 vehicles.

Its combination of a single secure dog compartment and enclosed equipment drawer provides a practical way to divide the available load space between dog transport and organised storage within one installation.

Depending on the vehicle and intended use, the dog box can be positioned alongside the drawer system or mounted above it.

Where the dog box is fitted beside the drawer, the exposed drawer top provides an additional open storage surface with a raised retaining lip and removable rubber mat.

The exact dimensions and configuration of the system depend on the available load space, vehicle width, internal height and rear door or tailgate opening.

Single Drawer Storage System

The Field 11-4×4 incorporates our single drawer storage system, providing secure enclosed storage for dog training equipment, leads, clothing, tools, recovery equipment and other working accessories.

The drawer is designed to use as much of the available space as possible, helping maximise practical storage within the vehicle.

It operates using our Air Glide system, providing smooth operation without conventional greased metal drawer runners.

The Air Glide system helps reduce the problems associated with traditional runners, which can attract dirt, grit, dog hair and mud during regular use.

The drawer liner is fitted with a lockable stainless-steel catch and includes a removable 3mm mat.

Twist-Release Removable Drawer Liner

The drawer liner incorporates our twist-release stop system, allowing the liner to remain securely retained during normal use while still being easy to remove when cleaning or maintenance is required.

During everyday operation, the stop prevents the drawer liner from being accidentally removed, even when the drawer is fully extended.

When the liner needs to be removed, simply rotate the stop through 90 degrees to release it from the main drawer unit.

The liner can then be removed completely for easier cleaning or maintenance.

Once the liner has been refitted, the stop is rotated back into position to secure the drawer again.

This provides a simple, secure and completely tool-free method of removing the drawer liner.

Secure Single-Compartment Dog Box

The Field 11-4×4 single dog box provides one secure compartment for transporting a dog within the rear load area of the vehicle.

Depending on the installation, the dog box can be positioned beside the single drawer system or mounted above it, allowing the available space to be configured around the vehicle and the customer’s requirements.

The dog box is fitted with our double-point door locking system.

When the door is locked, pins engage at both the top and bottom of the door, securing it firmly in two separate positions.

Each door is also fitted with a full-length stainless-steel hinge and our integrated stainless-steel mesh construction, creating a strong and durable door designed for regular working and everyday use.

Integrated Stainless-Steel Door Mesh

A major strength of the Field 11-4×4 dog box is the way the stainless-steel door mesh is built into the door frame during manufacture.

Rather than simply being tack welded onto the outside of the finished door, the stainless-steel mesh is inserted into the aluminium door section during the welding stage, so the surrounding door construction locks the mesh securely into position.

This creates an extremely strong door assembly and prevents dogs inside the box from getting behind an exposed mesh edge and attempting to pull or peel the mesh away from the frame.

The result is a much more secure and durable construction than a surface-mounted mesh panel, making it particularly suitable for strong, active working dogs and regular professional use.

This integrated mesh construction is a key feature of our dog box doors and is used to provide additional strength, security and long-term durability.

Stainless-steel mesh integrated into the dog box door section during manufacture, locking the mesh securely into the frame rather than simply attaching it to the outer face.

Ventilation, Comfort and Cleaning

Ventilation mesh is incorporated into the sides and rear of the Field 11-4×4 dog box to help maintain airflow through the compartment while travelling.

A 3mm internal rubber mat is supplied within the dog compartment, providing a practical and easy-to-clean floor surface for the dog.

The dog box also incorporates a front drainage plug, making it easier to wash out the compartment and release water after cleaning.

Together, these features are designed to make the dog compartment practical to maintain during regular working use.

Additional Storage Area

When the dog box is positioned beside the drawer system, the exposed top of the drawer provides an additional practical storage area.

A retaining lip around the drawer top helps keep equipment contained, while a removable 3mm rubber mat provides a practical surface for carrying dog training equipment, clothing, tools and other regularly used items.

This arrangement allows the Field 11-4×4 to divide the available rear load space between a secure dog compartment, enclosed drawer storage and accessible open storage.
