Where storage is an issue but you need a full size dog box you could opt for the Internal Storage Locker.
This locker is incorporated in the 6 inch sill. It is the full width of the box and encroaches into the dogbox by 12 inch. ( 6 inch flat & then slopes down a further 6 inch to the floor of the box ). See Side Profile to the left.
There is enough room in the locker to take a shotgun broken down into a half slip, along with cartridges.
The locker has a drop down flap which is secured with two sliding bolts inside the dogbox. The Dog Box can then be locked on the outside with a padlock ( see Security )
